Lighthouse Community Care is holding the inaugural Ride Around the Lake charity ride at Lake Illawarra.
The main event will be a 40km ride around Lake Illawarra, starting and finishing at the Illawarra Yacht Club (Northcliffe Drive, Warrawong) at 8am, with two more waves starting at 8:15am and 8:30am. 12 km and 4km Kid’s club rides will start shortly afterwards.
Ride Around the Lake aims to raise much needed funds for the lighthouse community centre local youth housing initiative called ‘My Place’. The funds will go directly to a facility providing accommodation and mentoring for displaced young people. A portion will also go directly to MS Australia to support their programs and services for people living with MS while a search for a cure continues.
