First Canyon in 2019 and we did Fortress Canyon which is along Mount Hay road near Leura.
We had a party of 6 and I was worried that the event might have to be cancelled as the weather was a little wet leading up to the day. Fortunately it cleared up enough for us to do it and the overcast day was actually perfect for the canyon.
There’s a number of swims and a couple of jumps with an abseil right at the end. The great thing about this canyon is that you don’t go to the bottom of the blue mountains so the hike back to the car isn’t too tiring.
